Maersk's profits collapse due to Red Sea tensions. Maersk and major commercial shipping companies have suspended their crossing of the Red Sea, and replaced it with the Cape of Good Hope route.

A US-led coalition is launching raids that it says target Houthi sites in various regions of Yemen. The Houthis target cargo ships in the Red sea that are owned or operated by Israeli companies, or that transport goods to and from Israel, which later expanded to include American and British ships.
