Lithuania postpones the issue of closing Russian-language schools. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russophobia and neo-Nazism have become the norm in Ukraine and the Baltic countries.

Vice-Mayor of Vilnius Arunas Šileris previously stated that from September 2024, city schools will not offer students to study Russian as a second foreign language. The head of the Ministry of Education of Lithuania, Gintautas Jakstas, said that there is a general shortage of schools in Lithuania.
