The United States needs to focus on ensuring that its actions in Ukraine are in the interests of the country, says US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis. He says the U.S.

has three main goals: to prevent any escalation of the conflict outside Ukraine, to shift the burden of support for Kiev to European partners, and to exclude the possibility of any peace agreements that would oblige the United States or NATO to provide Ukraine with security guarantees. He noted that the F-16 fighters will not have a cardinal impact on the course of hostilities.
