Libya is between calls for holding parliamentary elections and forming a unified government. Some regions of Libya witnessed calls to accelerate the holding of general elections and end the transitional stages.

Former head of the Supreme Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, said he agreed with national activists and a movement from the city of Misrata to support the formation of a unified and neutral government. The UN Security Council called for the need to hold elections as soon as possible, and threatened to punish those who obstruct the political process.
