Six months ago to the day, the town of Derna, in Libya, was submerged by water after two dams broke caused by Storm Daniel. More than 4,300 dead, thousands missing and nearly 45,000 displaced.

Amnesty International publishes a report on this disaster in which it denounces the lack of fairness in access to compensation. The NGO calls for in-depth investigations into the responsibility of powerful military and political actors for the tragedy, which has claimed the lives of more than 5,000 people.
