Liberal Democratic Party Komeito recommends to the Prime Minister “Continue to improve areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake”. The proposal states that the decommissioning of TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant should proceed steadily in a safe manner, including releasing treated water into the ocean.

Prime Minister Kishida said, ‘There will be no revitalization of Japan without the revitalized of Tohoku.'' He also pointed out that while physical reconstruction has largely been completed in areas affected, it is necessary to address issues such as population decline.
