Liberal Democratic Party election committee chairman Obuchi gave a speech at the party's meeting held in Saeki City, Oita Prefecture. Obuchi said the Diet is considering holding a political ethics review committee in response to issues surrounding factional political funding parties.
He stressed that he would reflect on the harsh scrutiny he was receiving from the public and would work on managing the party. He expressed his desire to win in the three by-elections for the House of Representatives to be held in April.
