The fourth meeting of the Central Committee for Comprehensive Deepening Reforms was held on February 19. A document related to the reform of the land management system was reviewed and approved at the meeting.

General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the need to establish and improve a landmanagement system that is more efficiently connected with macro policies and regional development. The meeting clearly pointed out that "three lines of control" must be strictly observed: cultivated land and permanent basic farmland, ecological protection red lines, and urban development boundaries.
