[HIGHLIGHTS] Leaks in private properties cause water shortage in Borgafjäll – now cottage owners may have to bear the cost of water chaos

Private cottage owners have caused the water shortage in Borgafjäll during Easter. Dorotea municipality wants to send the bill – which is currently around SEK 600,000 – to the cottage owners who have had leaks.

Approximately 80,000 litres of water have flowed out there per property per day. The municipality continues to run water tanks for as long as needed. The water network can be expanded in the future, but it is a major cost that we would like to postpone, says Pierre Danielsson.
