The New York Times reported that some of the leaked classified documents suggested that the United States had intercepted communications within the governments of its ally, South Korea. The South Korean government is providing assistance to Ukraine, it has taken a position that it does not provide lethal weapons.

South Korean President Yoon Sung-nyeol is scheduled to visit the U.S. later this month to hold a summit meeting with President Biden, but an official from the South Korean presidential office only said, "We plan to hold necessary consultations with the American side"
