Lavrov: the foundation of European strategic security is almost completely destroyed. The transition to detente during the Cold War allowed the USSR and the USA to lay the foundation for containing military risks and building a reliable strategic security architecture, primarily in Europe.

Lavrov also called on the G20 countries not to use the economy as a weapon. Earlier, Lavrov arrived at a meeting of the foreign ministers of theG20 countries in Rio de Janeiro. He was speaking to reporters at a press conference.
