"The girls of Olfa" is in the running for the Palme d'Or at Cannes. The film is about the radicalization of two young Tunisian women.

Director Kaouther Ben Hania is the country's first filmmaker in competition for half a century. "The new world is not yet coming," she replied when asked for her opinion on the political situation in Tunisia today. "We're already so happy to be here," she said, referring to the Cannes Croisette.
