Thousands of Jordanian demonstrators continued their protests in the vicinity of the Israeli embassy in the capital, Amman, on Wednesday. The demonstrators chanted slogans in support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and its leaders.

The security forces prevented the demonstrators from reaching the embassy by imposing a dense security cordon at the entrances and exits leading to the embassy. Many protesters criticized the authorities' inaction, saying their compatriots in Gaza were left to face Israeli military force alone. The Jordanian authorities are concerned that the Israeli war on Gaza could increase the popularity of Hamas among Jordanians.
