The area around Lödde River was already an important Scanian marketplace during the Viking Age. This weekend, a large group of marine archaeologists are combing the bottoms of the area in search of its secrets.

The goal of the day is the enigmatic islet L Ödde kar, a stone ruin out in the bay. The last time the site was dated, in the 80s, the construction time was stated to be around the year 1200 using the carbon 14 method.
