Japan: residents worried about the prospect of a major earthquake. According to seismologists, there is between 60% and 80% risk that, in the next 25 years, Japan will be hit by a succession of magnitude 9 earthquakes.

These megaearthquakes, of the Big one type, would cause tsunamis thirty meters high. And they would cause at least 500,000 deaths. In a recent survey, a majority of Japanese (53%) consider that they are insufficiently prepared for these predicted disasters.
