Israeli troops withdraw from Shifa hospital, Palestine hopes to become full member of the United Nations. Palestinian officials said the attack on a hospital treating seriously injured patients was a war crime.
The Israeli military said that no Palestinian civilians, patients or medical personnel were harmed by the Israeli army. Photos taken on April 1 show that much of the area around the hospital has been razed to the ground. About 300 bodies have been found in Shifa Hospital and its surrounding areas, Palestinian Civil Defense Department in the Gaza Strip said.
