Israel warns 4 European countries against recognizing a Palestinian state. Spain announced on Friday that it had agreed with Ireland, Malta and Slovenia to take the first steps towards recognizing the state declared by the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.

In response, Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz said in press statements: Recognizing the Palestinian state in the wake of last October 7 sends a message to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian organizations that attacks against Israelis will be met with political initiatives.
