Israel talks about thwarting weapons smuggling to the West Bank from Iran. The Israeli army revealed that the Shin Bet Security Service recently thwarted Iranian attempts to smuggle large shipments of advanced weapons.
The plan was revealed during the interrogation of detained Palestinians, who were suspected of planning attacks. A senior official in the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), Munir Maqdah, was involved in the plan, according to Shin Bet. The Shin Bet says that it and the Israeli army are working to locate additional Iranian weapons smuggled into the West bank, as part of the investigation.
