Israel is considering contracting with international companies to provide aid in Gaza. Residents of the Gaza Strip are on the verge of famine in light of the scarcity of food, water, medicine and fuel supplies.

The Israeli occupation army continuously targets Palestinian civilians while they wait for scarce aid trucks, leading to the martyrdom of a large number of them in repeated massacres. The United States recently announced its intention to establish a pier on the Gaza coast through a sea corridor from Cyprus to transport aid by sea. The Gaza Strip has been besieged by Israel for 17 years.
