Security Council has adopted a resolution calling for a ceasefire during the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip. In response, Israeli Defense Minister Gallant has remained firm in his stance, once again indicating that he is willing to conduct ground operations toward Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, NHK reports. The United States abstained, but 14 other countries voted in favor of the resolution.
