According to a media report, an Israeli attack on Rafa is unlikely beforehand. Instead, there is growing hope for a break in the fighting. In Rafah, the Israeli army is preparing for an invasion in order to destroy the remaining Hamas battalions and free suspected hostages there. But the Israeli government has not yet issued an operational order for the attack.
