NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg calls on Germany to quickly increase its defense spending. He says he expects there will be a debate soon on whether to supply Ukraine with fighter jets.

NATO partners have trained and equipped nine Ukrainian brigades over the last two months. The Russians have poor morale, bad equipment, bad training, bad logistics and bad leadership, he says. But what they lack in quality, they often make up for in quantity, the NATO chief adds. The EU member states promised to provide Ukraine with 1 million pieces of artillery ammunition within 12 months. They are still a long way from that.
