In Germany, women gathered last Sunday in Denmark, it was the beginning of March. On March 8, 1917, the Petrograd workers initiated a textile strike that led to the overthrow of Tsar Tsar. At the International Conference of Communist Women in 1921, delegates finally set March 8 as the day on which women did not have to work.
