In Ukraine, they called for more active exclusion of Russian words from brand names. Taras Kremin, Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language in the country, made this appeal to entrepreneurs.

Kremin noted that he was surprised by the hundreds of trademarks whose names contain Russian words. It is worth noting that the law on the state language adopted in Ukraine does not provide for any restrictions on the language of trademarks and allows their use in the form in which they are granted legal protection. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba suggested to his German colleague Annalena Bärbock to use the Ukrainian version of the name of Odessa.
