In The Hague, protesters prevented French President Emmanuel Macron from starting a speech at the Nexus Institute. A number of participants of the event shouted at Macron accusations of violence against protesters and violation of the principles of democracy.

Macron began his speech after the shouts subsided. Earlier in Paris, protesters against the pension reform set fire with a firecracker the veranda of the Rotonda restaurant, which is considered the favorite restaurant of the French president Emmanuel Macron. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.
