Boeing has increased the production rate from less than two 787s per month at the end of 2021 to four. The manufacturer is betting on the 787 to return to better financial health after four consecutive years in the red.

The drop in air traffic on long flights during the pandemic had plunged the widebody aircraft market. But orders have picked up in recent months and Boeing hopes to increase production to ten 787's per month by 2025-2026. The 787, which entered service in 2011, has garnered more than 250 orders in the past six months.
