In Pakistan, former Prime Minister Imran Khan receives a ten-year prison sentence. Accused of disclosing classified documents, former Pakistani PM Imran Khan, already incarcerated since August, was sentenced to ten years in prison.

Imran Khan was charged in October under the Official Secrets Act, which dates from the colonial era. The former star cricketer believes the proceedings against him are politically motivated. He accuses the army, which helped him come to power in 2018 but whose support he has since lost according to analysts, of seeking to prevent him from regaining leadership.
