A Syrian was detained on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack in Hamburg. The man had been buying components for an improvised explosive device on the Internet for several weeks.

The investigation is being conducted against two immigrants from Syria. The second suspect is the man's brother, a resident of Kempten. Earlier, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces announced the possible elimination in Syria of one of the leaders of the IG *, who planned terrorist attacks in the Middle East and Europe. The IG is recognized as terrorist by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of 29.12.2014.
