Interim President of the Tehreek-e-Insaf Party, Gohar Ali Khan, announced that his party will seek to form the next government in the country. According to the latest official results at the last hour of Saturday local time in Pakistan, the independents won 102 seats.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Sharif party was able to win 73 seats, while the People's Party led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari won 54 seats. Results have not yet appeared for 7 of the 265 seats contested in the elections.
