Republican House of Representatives member Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed a motion to remove fellow party member Mike Johnson from the post of Speaker of the Lower House. According to her, the time has come to choose a new speaker, since Johnson has shown that he cannot “stand up to the Democrats” Greene criticized Johnson's decision to bring to the floor a compromise government funding bill he had negotiated with Democrats and President Joe Biden.
She also opposed the fact that the bill provides for the allocation of assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $300 million.
