Head of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, called the charge in a two-year-old criminal case, brought against her on March 2, a proven method of the Moldovan authorities against the opposition. She noted that such activity of prosecutors was caused by a large-scale protest that met the President of Moldova Maia Sandu.
This, according to Hutsul,. was a “real shock” for the top of the ruling Action and Solidarity (PAS) party in the republic.
