Hong Kong’s convention and exhibition industry recovered to 70% to 80% of pre-pandemic levels last year. In 2019, Hong Kong attracted 1.69 million overnight visitors for conferences, exhibitions and incentive travel.

Their per capita spending was approximately HK$7,200, which was 23% higher than the per capita Spending of overnight visitors as a whole. According to industry surveys, in 2018, the convention and Exhibition industry contributed HK$58.6 billion to Hong Kong's economy, equivalent to 2.1% of the GDP.
