Military historian Yuri Knutov commented on the report that the Polish Foreign Ministry advised Zelensky to apologize for the Volyn massacre. The historian noted that in Poland the question has been raised more than once that Ukraine should apologize for crimes committed during the Second World War.

He is confident that cooperation between Poland and Ukraine will continue, even in the absence of a reaction from President Zelenski. The statement of the Polish Ministry clearly demonstrates that the Poles are "ready to bill the Ukrainian" in the same way as they issue invoices to Germany and Russia, he added.
