A seal was spotted swimming in fresh water in Riksdag, Sweden. It is not uncommon for seals to be seen in the city, says a zoo keeper.

The seal was swimming upstream towards Lake Mälaren, which is on the other side of the city. The animal was swimming in the fresh water, not the salt water, says the zoo keeper, Didrik Vanhoenacker, who was on duty at the time of the seal's sighting. He says it is not unusual to see seals in the area, but it is rare to see them in the salt.
