[HIGHLIGHTS] Here, 300 of the protected Arontorp rose were dug up in the nature reserve on Öland

The Arontorp rose was discovered by Carl Linnaeus in 1741. The area where the flowers have now been dug up has been a nature reserve since 1977.

Henrik Lindh has reported the incident to the County Administrative Board. You can read more about the flower on the county administrative board's website. The flower was found in Strandhagen Nature Reserve in Mörbylånga municipality on Öland. It is a very rare flower that is found only in this area.
