Eight years after the founding of the We Are Not Numbers project, the Al-Naouq family and members of the project team became on the lists of the Israeli Occupation Targets Bank. The most prominent of them is the writer Dr. Rifaat Al-Arair. He told Al Jazeera, "We are Not Numbers and Dr.RifatAl-ARAir have contributed deeply to society in Gaza, not only by transforming numbers into human numbers"
