Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia proposes to hold a meeting with the Palestinians to overcome the split. The meeting would take place in the framework of established rules, Lavrov said. The proposal was made during a Middle East conference of the Valdai discussion club.
