Guinea: dismissals at the head of state companies after energy incidents. The general director of Electricité de Guinée (EDG), Laye Sekou Camara, but also his two deputies, were all thanked.
This series of dismissals comes 48 hours after a power outage which plunged the Guinean capital into darkness. Similar power cuts were recorded last week in the town of Kindia, 130 kilometers east of Conakry, also causing clashes in which two teenagers were killed.
