The Forces vives de Guinée, an alliance of the main political parties and civil society organizations, called for demonstrations on Wednesday (May 10th) Clashes broke out between demonstrators and the police. The FVG, which demands, among other things, the release of political detainees and the opening of a dialogue under the conditions desired by ECOWAS, considered that their demands had not been heard.
The religious leaders had pleaded for conditional release for activists of the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution.
