Fishermen on five Gotland fishing boats will drag old fishing nets off the coast in 2023. The goal is to contribute to a healthier Baltic Sea.
The bottom conditions off Gotland are sometimes difficult, with a lot of rock that the draggers easily get stuck in. All participating fishermen have previous experience of hauling and will be able to contribute with important skills, says Andreas Pettersson, county fisheries commissioner at the County Administrative Board of Gotland, in a press release.
