Tiger Woods withdraws from the Masters due to an injury. The 47-year-old American had played only seven holes in the third round.
Woods was 22 shots behind the leader, Brooks Koepka, at the time of his retirement. He had a terrible car accident in February 2021 in California, from which he emerged with multiple fractures to his right leg. He made an unexpected return to the greens last year at the Masters and, despite the pain, gritted his teeth to finish.
