Remco Evenepoel wins the first stage of the Giro d'Italia. Flemish rider takes the pink leader's jersey for the first time in his career.

Primoz Roglic is 43 seconds behind the Belgian prodigy. The Giro starts again in the other direction, towards the Adriatic coast, for a second stage that will take the peloton from Teramo to San Salvo (201 km) and which is promised to the sprinters. The race finishes in Rome on May 27.
