British cyclist Mark Cavendish wins the final stage of the Giro d'Italia. It is the 38-year-old's 17th Grand Tour victory.
Cavendish is aiming for a record-equaling 35th victory in the Tour de France in 2015. He is the first Briton to win the Tour, beating the previous record held by Sir Chris Hoy in 1978. The Tour de Italy starts on Sunday and finishes in Milan on May 28. The Giro ends on May 31.
