Germany will adopt a new law to favor selective immigration. In some sectors, the shortage is glaring and Berlin is turning directly to certain countries to find solutions.

This is the case in health, where there is a shortage of health care staff. In June, the Minister of Labour and his colleague from Foreign Affairs will travel to Brazil to find staff for the German health sector. Last year, 656 foreign nurses found jobs in Germany. But 500,000 caregivers will retire in the next ten years, as needs increase.
