Germany relaxes rules for non-EU professionals to work in Germany. New EU "Blue Card" regulations have come into effect in November 2023.
More measures will take effect in June 2024. There is a shortage of professionals in many regions and industries, according to the German federal government's official website. The number of job vacancies in Germany in 2022 will be approximately 1.98 million, and there is an estimated 1.2 million skilled workers in the German labor market at the moment.
