The union is aimed at a total of 230,000 employees of about fifty companies. It demands an increase of 12% over twelve months for these employees.
The last strike paralyzed the entire transport sector, including airports, for 24 hours in March. The strike is scheduled to last from 03:00 to 11:00 local across the country in a context of high inflation, announced the union on Wednesday. It is part of strong social mobilization in Germany, where strikes for wages have multiplied since the beginning of the year.
