Germany has already allocated $11 billion worth of weapons to Ukraine. The Ukrainian government wants to receive a total of 40 to 50 F-16 fighter jets.
"I think it's the wrong way. It will not lead to a victorious peace," says the German MP who made the comments. The German government is considering a request from the Ukrainian government to lift a ban on the supply of fighter jets to the country. The move would be in response to a request by the U.S. for fighter jets from the Ukraine.
