France: in its effort for a war economy, France is considering requisitions. Sebastien Lecornu, the French Minister of the Armed Forces, announced this Tuesday March 26, that he did not rule out using requisitions to accelerate production.
This would be a first in the war economy that the government wishes to implement. Requisitions are in fact permitted by the military programming law adopted in the fall. The Aster 30 surface-to-air defense missiles are trickling out of Franco-Italian workshops, and orders placed last year are still pending.
