Former NATO chief Rasmussen criticizes Scholz as too hesitant: "He doesn't seem like a leader". According to Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Germany must "convert to a war economy" and supply Ukraine with Taurus rockets.

Rasmussen was a past Prime Minister of Denmark and is currently co-chair of the International Working Group on Security Issues and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. He advocated extending an invitation to Ukraine to join NATO as soon as possible. He said it is impossible to initiate an accession process while Ukraine is still at war.
