Foreign Minister Kamikawa meets Indian Foreign Minister and agrees to deepen cooperation on security and other areas. India is considered to be a representative emerging country in the so-called "Global South," and is increasing its presence in the international community due to its rapid economic growth.
At the meeting, the two countries stated that they share fundamental values such as democracy and the rule of law, as well as strategic interests, and agreed to strengthen cooperation to realize Japan's "Free and Open Indo-Pacific"
